　　China, US mark 45 years of strong relations

　　It's been 45 years since China and the United States signed a joint communique that normalized relations. It was signed on Feb 28, 1972, during president Richard Nixon's landmark visit to the country, the first by a US leader. The visit and the communique are regarded as major turning points in Sino-US relations.
