An activity themed with “taking a long march across Laoshanjie” was held at the interior of Danan Mountain, Bashili, Chengbu Miao Autonomous County on the border area of Hunan and Guangxi on July 31, 2016, to mark the 80th anniversary of the success of the Long March. More than 80 primary and junior middle school students trudged over 10 kilometers to reach the summit, 1700 meters above sea level.
