Meet the Top 10!
The 14th Chinese Bridge—Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students cut its 15 semifinalists to 10 on July 13 in Quanzhou, an ancient port city in southeast China's Fujian Province.
The 15 semifinalists from five continents plowed through a three-day competition to win a top 10 finalist spot. The elimination series include discussion & questions, out-door cultural experience, and a comprehensive examination.
In the first two rounds, the contestants demonstrated their mental competence to learn Chinese language while visiting the exhibition hall of ancient boats at Quanzhou Bay and Tumen Street and experiencing puppet art at Quanzhou Puppet Theater.
The top 10 finalists are moving on in the competition through various Chinese language tours in cities like Dali, Beijing and Changsha.
