On the afternoon of May 11, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee Sun Jinlong met in Changsha with a delegation formed by Vietnamese Party and government cadres, led by Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL).
The delegation aimed to survey Hunan's achievements made in implementation of the policies on issues of agriculture, farmer and rural area, promotion of industrialization and urbanization, and reform and development in supply and marketing cooperatives.
Sun warmly welcomed the guests. He remarked that with constant promotion of China-Vietnam friendly cooperation, Hunan and Vietnam are deepening exchanges. Vietnam has become Hunan's largest investment and trade partner in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations). He hoped this visit will be an opportunity to strengthen high-level mutual visit, promote friendly communications, deepen economic and trade cooperation, and increase agricultural exchanges to realize a win-win result.
Vice President of the VGCL said Hunan is a traditional big agricultural province. Vietnam would like to learn experience in developing agriculture, farmers, and rural area from Hunan and push mutual exchanges and cooperation in various fields via this visit.
