“The bright-moon-and-star ink-stone(Yue Lang Xing Ming Yan) which  was the treasure in Duanxi, was collected at the heart-stone house of Tao in Anhua.” The beautiful bright-moon-and-star ink-stone was 24cm long, 16.5cm wide, and 3.4cm thick with these words at its frontage. According to Mo Junhai(the owner of the ink-stone at 100 thousand RMB cost), the ink-stone named by its 36 natural eyes, just like a myriad of stars surround the moon. In addition, the ink-stone has a sign on its side that “the pressure ink-stone in Duanxi had been collected the heart-stone house of Tao in Anhua, which was owned by Ma Mengzhuang in Changsha.”

    The ink-stone was taken by Ma Mengzhuang who was a collector with lots of antiques and treasures in home. On June 12^th, 1938, families in Ma had escaped when Japanese army invaded Anqing, so that all treasures are stolen to Japan.

    “The real owner of the ink-stone was Taoshu, who was one of the most powerful officials in Hunan since Qing Dynasty. Therefore ,we hope the ink-stone could stay in Changsha forever because it’s the historical relic of Hunan.” Said Mo Junhai, who has rejected many buyers indirectly.
