In front of the Hengyang Anti-Japanese Stele Wall on August 31, 2014, citizens commemorate the martyrs who fought for the defense of Hengyang. September 3 is remembered as the Victory

Day of the Anti-Japanese War. To celebrate the day, some folk charity groups have initiated the activity of "veterans returning home". They searched for the surviving anti-Japanese veterans who had taken part in the defense of Hengyang, and accompanied them to the city. The veterans revisited the old place where they fought, and paid tribute to their lost friends.
