BEIJING - China's national legislature on Wednesday passed the General Provisions of the Civil Law at the closing meeting of its annual session.

　　Among 2,838 NPC deputies present at the closing meeting of the fifth session of the 12th National People's Congress, 2,782 voted for the General Provisions of the Civil Law.
