Hunan Issues Consumer Rights Protection Bluebook for 2015

  The 12315 complaint and tip-off system of the Industrial and Commercial Bureau of Hunan Province officially opens on March 14, 2016.

  Hunan’s Consumer Rights Protection Bluebook for 2015 was issued at a press conference held by the Industrial and Commercial Bureau of Hunan Province on March 14, 2016. According to the Bluebook, the industrial and commercial administrations and the consumer councils at all levels in Hunan have accepted 61772 consumer complaints in 2015, managing to recover 93.31 million yuan.

  The complaints were mainly concentrated in ten fields, namely daily necessities, food (including drinks and cigarettes), communication facility, telecommunication, transportation and vehicle, fitment and building materials, residential service, internet service, and cultural and recreation service.

  As for the consumer right protection work in 2016, “consumer first” should be further emphasized in the whole province, said Li Jingliang, secretary-general of the Hunan Provincial Consumer Council. Through constructing communication platform and comprehensive law enforcement, consumer rights will be better protected and the consumer can really enjoy consumption by themselves.

  The new 12315 system, a complaint and tip-off platform of the Industrial and Commercial Bureau of Hunan Province, was officially opened that day.
